What is Memeoirs?
Memeoirs allows for the first time the possibility of printing one’s email exchanges in an aesthetically pleasing book. This can be done with a minimum amount of effort, the resulting content being just the juicy part of the email messages. Reply quotes, signatures and other redundant material are all automatically removed, for a clean and sleek final result. Great care is also put into the overall design of the books, to make sure they live up to the content they will hold. Both judging by its cover, and by flipping through its pages. From the user’s perspective, the creation of a book is very straightforward; she needs only to decide on a time period, a set of mailbox folders containing the messages, and which contacts to include. Of course she also gets to have some fun customizing her book. Memeoirs was conceived and brought to life by a Belgium based startup that goes by the name of FitMemes.
FitMemes started off as a group friends, brought together by similar ways of thinking, looking at the world, while having loads of fun in the doing so. Living together in a country that was only temporarliy theirs, they soon started to exchange ideas via email. And the relevance of these exchanges started to grow. The idea of perpetuating their emails in an analog fashion led to soon gave birth to a web app, Memeoirs.com. They use it to scracth their itch, but also to give anyone the possibility of having their own book with their email conversations. FitMemes aim at making technology work for people, effectively making their lives better, more humane.
